Hey I'm looking at the I-129F and on item no. 10 it My Citizenship is acquired through Birth in the U.S. or Naturalization. I was born in the Philippines myself and do I click on PARENTS and what do I put on the certification number? Thanks a bunch!

If you are a naturalized citizen you should have a citizenship document with your registration number. That is what you would put. Your parents status is not important. You must be a citizen, by birth or naturalization to qualify for an I-129f petition.

you are a USC by birth to USCitizens...

naturalization is only if you were not a USC who became one.

I would recommend that you do have her sign a G-325a (four copies of the same form). Technically there is a memo stating that an RFE (Request for evidence) should not be issued someone does not sign the G-325a, but I would play it safe and have her print, sign and send you the form.

Each of you needs to fill out the G325 which will print 4 copies each of which should be signed.

As Thai stated above, there is a uscis memo that states an RFE should not be sent without an original signature but we have seen people get them for just that. Have her print them out and send them back to you.

good luck.

I just want to get an answer regarding what you mentioned her in regards to "registration number" Citizenship Certificate has two numbers one that starts with A which is the Registration number and another one which is on top and starts with numbers only. Which of the two to use when they are asking for "certificate number" on the application? Also would this be printed where it says "Alien No"

Hey debs,

I had the same delimna, I have my citizenship through my parents naturalization also. When my parents were naturalized I also applied for a citizenship certificate. I just put that certificate number on the form, I am not sure if that was the right thing to do. I also asked on here and didn't get a definite answer. I have sent mine I-129F in with a copy of my certificate and a copy of my passport(every page). Can let you know if it works ok, fingers crossed.

Good Luck,

Dar
