Mailing I-751 tomorrow

We are finally ready to mail our I-751 application. Just sorted everything out, put the tabs, and finished the cover letter.

I am wondering what is the best way to mail the package? Some people said priority USPS, but I am not sure whether to send it certified and return receipt?

We live next street from the federal building where they process this, it would be much easier just to drop it off, if it would only work like that, lol..

We are planning to bind the entire package with acco fastener, to make sure it's all together, but I am not sure if we should just use loose fastener, or put the package in a folder with the fastener?

Here is list of what we have for evidence:

1.Copy of green card

2.Joint tax returns for 2006 and 2007.

3.Copies of joint checking and savings accounts

4. Copy of credit card joint account.

5.Copy of apartment lease agreement

6.Copy of timeshare title.

7. Letter from my employer for life insurance beneficiary

8. Letter from my employer for joint medical and dental.

9. Copy of joint car insurance

10. Copy of retirement account beneficiary.

11 Utility bills in both names

12. 2 Notarized affidavits, one from father, and the other one from a friend

13. Copies of driver licenses with same address

14. Copies of medical cards

15. Copies of flexible spending medical cards

16. copy of CalPers notification of medical plan change with both names

17. Copies of gym membership

18 Copy of timeshare correspondence

19. Copy of boarding passes from trip to Europe

20. Copy of hotel bill from Europe with both names.

21. Marketing letter to both of us.

22. Lost of envelopes to both names.

23 About 50 photos of us different places and with friends and family.

I hope this is sufficient, as this is all we could come up with. Now, the waiting begins....

I just mailed ours regular mail in a priority box. I'm not freakishly obscessed with the whole mailing in process though. Haven't been the whole time and it's worked out well for us. Others will tell you a lot differently, though.

We sent ours priority mail and it got there the next day, and I could track it.

Thank you for your replies. We mailed the package yesterday, priority mail. It's kind of funny, they told my husband when he took it to the post office, that the P.O. box is actually there, in the building of that same post office.

How long does it usually take to get Notice of Action from the day the package is mailed?

Best to send USPS Express WITHOUT return receipt. Sometimes if the petition gets there and there's noone to sign they take it back to the PO. Example after hours or on a Saturday.

It took 9 days from the mailing date to receiving our NOA. I do believe that it has taken some up to one month.

Just put mine in loose binder in an envelope and mailed it first class. Cost less that $2. But it was only 1/4 inch thick. Still, it got approved in 62 days!...

Total of $545.00, $460.00 filing fee and $85.00 biometrics.

We just two-hole punched a file folder and tacked it down with an ACCO binding. Sent it overnight because we were less than 30 days away from the expiration date and wanted the NOA1 ASAP. (Overnight was $19 flat rate and included tracking, so I liked that a lot.) Received it rather quickly too. *crosses fingers that that is a good sign*
