Firstly, hello to everyone.

I've been using the VJ guides for quite some time and me and my fiancée are almost ready to file the K-1 Petition.

Regarding question 18 on the I-129F form.

The question reads:

Describe the circumstances under which you met. If you have not personally met each other, explain how the relationship was

established. If you met your fiancé(e) or spouse though an international marriage broker, please explain those circumstances in

Question 19 below. Explain also in detail any reasons you may have for requesting that the requirement that you and your

fiancé(e) must have met should not apply to you.

I just wanted to clarify..

Me and my Fiancée originally met online when we were in our early teens, and have been friends for eight years. We later established a relationship and I have visited her as required. - I am actually due to return to the US to visit her again this Feb.

Is the question asking..

- How we first were introduced to each other, in which case, we would answer online.

- How and when we most recently saw each other face-to-face.

- Both?

Thank you for any help you can provide..

More recently, (early last yearearly 2008 (or give actual date)) we established a relationship and I have visited her as required[briefly explain when/where]. - I am actually due to return to the US to visit her again this Feb(very helpful.).

- Both? Most people do both.

(IMO) Your explanation is pretty good (it's brief, informative and to the point.) - most folks will have success when they explain both how they met and how/when/where they met in person.

Umbrae. That is pretty much all you have to write. It needs to be just brief. Some do a supplemental sheet of paper and go into long details but they are going to ask for a timeline of relationship at some time. I pretty much just put in about what you said but fleshed it out a bit with appx dates. They will need to know that you are engaged and when that happened also.

I would like to add that maybe you should wait to do the 129F till after you visit in February. It shouldn't be in their system really by that time but if it shows up they could maybe deny entry. I think they won't but just in case I would maybe wait.
