Even with the increase in Population since 1981, The inaugural Of Barack Obama this week drew less viewers

than Ronald Reagans Inaugural, over a quarter a century earlier.

But Obama-bots, fear not... The Media coverage was many times that of any President and perhaps greater than all former Presidents combined.

Even though The Media was fixated on "all things Obama" on Tuesday, Americans in even greater numbers tuned in to watch.... you guessed it; "American Idol".

-------------

Nearly 37.8 million Americans watching at home viewed President Barack Obama's oath of office and inaugural speech between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. ET on January 20, 2009. This is the most viewed inauguration since the record of 41.8 million viewers who watched Ronald Reagan's 1981 inauguration.

This is the first inaugural since Nielsen began tracking time-shifted viewing, and this year's data is based on Live + Same Day, meaning incremental viewing during the same broadcast day is included.

Sounds like "sour grapes" there Nowhereman.

 You're a tard... your guy lost & you make senseless threads like this one & I have sour grapes? Not that it matters but I thought Reagan was an excellent President. Unlike people like you I judge Presidents on their actions vs. blindly supporting a party's candidate no matter how bad he is.

Now please go find some more useless trivia or mindless rhetoric before you cry yourself to sleep.

IN the first place pick yourself up off the floor, you're getting dirty down there. (with all that laughing).

In the second place, calling me names is not only Juvenile but leads to a breakdown in (somewhat) civil posting.

Thirdly, Because I can break away from the Bush-Bashing mantra that so many are prone to doesn't make me a blind supporter of anyone. As I have said before here, I could not even vote this year as I felt they were two sides of the same coin. So no,... "My guy didn't loose".

You could vote. Write in, spoiled ballot. Choosing not to participate is the most lame thing anyone can do come election day.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

Yeah I actually voted for neither McCain or Obama. Usually I tell someone that I didn't vote for Obama and they get all riteous and say some thing like, "what, so you think McCain would have been better?" spoiling for a argument but I just tell them I didn't vote for McCain either and I voted. Most are puzzled. Sad state of affairs.
