Hi VJ community I am a long time lurker but first time poster.

I applied for my wife's green card three weeks ago. I received a RFE of my current employment, hours worked, paystubs etc etc. The problem is I just quit my job for various moral and monetary reasons. I have assets at around 20x annual pay requirements (investments as well as owning my own home). My parents would be glad to co-sponsor as well and meet the requirements.

Should I just submit this information after finding a new job OR just submit assets OR ask my parents to co-sponsor? I am interested in going the fastest route. Any information on how to disclose one's assets is greatly appreciated.

Thank you for responding.

You only need three times the income requirement in assets to qualify. Simply fill out the complete I-864 including the asset sections and document the assets.

I'd do both! Show assets and get cosponsor!

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!

I would definitly get a co sponsor! If you look at some of my older posts you will see the trouble I had with applying on Assets alone (even though my husbands actually owns 30 houses).

My humble advice: Get your Dad to Co-Sponsor. It will save you a TON of time and frustration.

All the best
