Now that the smoke has cleared, and just a few embers remain, I have comment on comments about my comments, and the assumptions that were made.

We cannot go around like we are walking on egg shells, just because Obama is now our President, the President of our country. Is the prospect so fragile to his supporters, that a few comments about his wife's fashion sense would bring down the Obama Administration?

People! His party is the majority party for at least the next two years! Have a little faith in the man, and in America!

And whether I am conservative, or liberal, or progressive should not matter. Who I voted for was the man I thought was the best choice for America, and whether, or not, my choice won, it would not stop me from poking away!

I am sure there are many things about Obama that can legitimately be satarised - and in such a way as to make people chuckle. The 'he's gay because his wife is 'butch' angle is just cheap and feeble. That's all there is.

I'm talking about the forum... there have been a lot of threads like this that have nothing to do with Obama's policies but rather some tasteless attempt at "humor". I don't recall any threads about Bush, Palin, McCain. etc that were similar to this one. Sure each was criticized but for entirely different reasons (usually their decisions or statements).
