Mine's still not at NVC...I'm not going to call again til either Friday or Monday, I'm not sure..

When I called today, they told me it takes 90 days....yea, i hope not!

My NOA2 date is one day after yours and as of yesterday (4/1) my packet still hadn't arrived either, so I wouldn't worry about it

I think I will either call them again tomorrow or next monday to check up again. The lady I talked to at the NVC said it can take 2-4 weeks, I didn't hear the 90 day spiel

The NVC checks different databases is my understanding....some people get hooked, others don't...

Also, the letter from the NVC arrived today saying it was received and sent on to London. Not much later than it was received...and right on the day that I had predicted that I would hear from them. Darn impatience!

How did you do the DHL tracking? You asked for them for the DHL tracking number?

Hopefully the package is in Vancouver today or tomorrow, and my GF gets package 3 next week. Fingers crossed.

Go to DHL.com, pick United States of America, Track by reference number, NVC told us it left for Vancouver on March 30, 2009 so to find out all the shipments from NVC for that date put EXP 30 MAR 2009A. There was a shipment to Vancouver that date that weighed around 4 lbs!! I hope that was ours!!

Tehehe! Its great isn't it? Doesn't take quite as long to get to Canada as it does other countries! We got the NVC letter in the mail today stating that they received our petition, with VAC case number! Woo hoo!!

Laura, just to let you know, I called the NVC again today and they said my case was arrive on the 1st (Wednesday, the original day I called and they hadn't put it in the computer yet :star: ) and was sent out on the 2nd. Since our NOA2s are really close I'd say there is a decent chance your case is in the NVC system now, so you could give them a call if you haven't yet!

okkk I am REALLY confused! The guy today said "that case is still being put into the system, so call next week and it should be in" so, I asked "ok, so its there, but just not in the system??" and he said yes. WHAT? what does that even mean? How does he know its there? I hope this doesn't mean AP! He didn't even ask for my birthday or name or anything like that...do you think he was just lying?!

I'm wondering if maybe he knows that all the ones from that date were shipped and that they were still in the process of putting them into the system, so when yours didn't show up it meant its still in the box to be put into the computer? *shrug* or he just made something up to get you off the phone

They have a physical file, which probably is received, but now sitting on some data entry person's desk, waiting for them to input the case and output your LND# and then move it to the London Box.

Must mean that yours is at the "sitting on someone's desk" stage, and hasn't gotten to the other ones.

It took them 2 weeks from my NOA2 date to get it into the system...no worries. :)

K-1:

January 28, 2009: NOA1

June 4, 2009: Interview - APPROVED!!!

October 11, 2009: Wedding

AOS:

December 23, 2009: NOA1!

January 22, 2010: Bogus RFE corrected through congressional inquiry "EAD waiting on biometrics only" Read about it here.

March 15, 2010: AOS interview - RFE for I-693 vaccination supplement - CS signed part 6!

March 27, 2010: Green Card recieved

ROC:

March 1, 2012: Mailed ROC package

March 7, 2012: Tracking says "notice left"...after a phone call to post office.

More detailed time line in profile.

Honestly I wouldn't worry about it at all

It probably means your number has been scanned, so they can check and see that it is sitting in their facility, but that an office worker hasn't gotten to it yet today to input your specific information into the computer and generate your London number and shipping information! I would bet on that happening today :star:

And as far as mine getting their before yours, it could be a regional thing; the number of cases going to Asia or Japan specifically might have been less in number or handled by somebody else, and shipped quicker due to that. Again, don't worry!
