Thanks Noami! It looks like we are all around the same time frame more or less. I didn't mean to step on anyone's toes, I was just relaying what our attorney said. He has really been on top of things for us-he called us to tell us about the transfer the day it happened...I got the e-mail notice about 2 days later!! So I am praying he is right about getting approved within a week. We do have to face the Martin Luther King holiday, so that may put it back a few days but at least we are getting close!! Maybe we will all be posting next weekend that we got our approvals!! :) Good luck everyone!

Can someone PLEASE tell me how you can find out if your application has been "touched." I don't understand this. Do you get it from your case status online at USCIS or how??

Many thanks,

amanda

Hi Amandagharam,

Create an account online and add your case to your portfolio and select email updates. You will get an email every time your case is changed. But to see when it is touched you have to look at your portfolio and there is a column that shows the Last Updated date. When that date changes it means your case was touched....

hope that helps

Oh thank you so much for that!!! I had registered for e-mail updates as soon as we got our first receipt number, but I had no idea you could look at your portfolio...etc. I am assuming you just log in with your info on the USCIS website??

Thanks so much for that!!

Amanda

thanks for replying..I am totally confused. I dont know if i should apply for K 3

My recommendation is that you should stick to CR1/IR1 route as that is a more powerful visa.

honestly...i jst want her here in da shortest time possible...so if cr1 is faster then i will stick to that.

CR1 is not faster but better and cheaper, you don't have the hassle with AOS and so on. The time difference might be a month or so. My husband and I decided to do CR1 because of the costs and the fact that I'm not forced to stay at home and get bored while adjusting status
