Got Approved

Hi everyone, I just received my NOA #2 stating that my I129 for my fiancee has been approved and they are going to fwd the case to NVC. How long does it take? Is there anymore paper works that I have to do after they fwd to overseas embassy? The problem is Im leaving to Indonesia to be with my fiancee and stay there until he gets his interview. Will this a problem if I stay with him until he gets his interview? I was thinking to get the paperwork sign at first and have my family member send it when the INS needs it. We applied through California Service center

Here is our timeline

10/27-sent the I129F package

10/31-received NOA #1

1/9- I129F approved through email notification

1/14-received NOA#2 hardcopy through mail

what now? any input?

It usually takes a week or two for the petition to arrive at the embassy after the NVC sends the case information. I suggest you read the guide here on VJ and also check out to see if the embassy web site has any information specific to the document requirements. There is no reason why you can't stay there but how are you sponsoring the petition, or do you have a co-sponsor?

Hi!

Ours took two weeks before we received Packet 3 from the US Embassy in Jakarta.

Here's the timeline:

NOA2 approval = Dec 8

NVC left = Dec 15

Packet 3 received = Dec 22

Thank you... yes i have co sponsor if i need to and my last year income tax is above 125% poverty line... do u think enough money from the bank statement, cds, and investment should be enough for me to sponsor by myself? or do u think i still need the co-sponsor even though i have enough asset?

Hi beatles, thanks for the replied... i checked the website on my case status, it showed that the last updated was 1/12, is that mean thats when INS forwarded to NVC? will i get another notice stating that the paperwork has been fwd to US embassy in Jakarta?

After receiving the visa, when does my fiancee have to leave? do they give a certain time limit when the visa needs to use it by?

Congrats!!! WOW that was fast.. took you less than 3 months to get approved...

We filled our I-129f on early December thru California center.. I hope I can get mine soon... Hope I can get it by March.. that will be awesome!!!

Hi all,

I am sort of confused ...how is it some people who filed in august 2008 are already receiving NOA2 and according to USCIS they are now processing applications with receipts dates of April 2008??? Please help clarify this issue for me as I am an Aug. 08 filers and still awaiting approval on my K 3 (1 29F).
