Predictions for the New Obama "Presidency

Pretty lazy (as usual) for this crowd. Regardless of the source, it should be easy to refute or at least question some coming predictions.

I'd question whether Israel can take out Iran nuke production unless they can hit key bottlenecks spread out across Iran.

* Look for the slow but steady erosion of rights you have enjoyed for your entire lives--all the while being told it's "for your own good.

I doubt that one only after hearing the same ####### for years about Bush but any changes had very little effect on the vast majority of people.

Its very easy to refute. The question surely is whether its worth the time to do a point by point deconstruction of the entire thing.

I predict the left wing will attempt to defend Obama with rhetoric like this, when the right wing brings up things like Obama's voting record and his stated positions on the issues.

If we're not to believe the positions he has publicly endorsed, nor the positions he has affirmed with his vote in the past, exactly what are we supposed to use to evaluate him? The slick, over-produced Madison Avenue candidacy that gave us such silliness as "the office of the president-elect"?

I use to try and have intelligent debates with the right wingers here, but it was fruitless (all they know is mindless rhetoric & slapping the label of "liberal" on anyone with a different view). I've found that its less frustrating and more entertaining to fight fire with fire.

We are in a terrible crisis and we tried to back George II but he just doesn't have a clue except a plan to continue to line his and his buddies pockets to the end. I am willing and ready to try a different approach. If some of you think you can do it better then you run for office. If you are not willing to do that then STFU!

Charles, it gets old when people post long stories like this that are available through a link. It will get replied to and take up considerable space. I do not believe you have done anyone any favors with this self-serving act.

The Bush bashers went from critizing everything the president does to working toward silencing all Obama criticisms even before the guy is in White House. The idea that citizens should STFU unless they hold public office is moronic and tyrannical. Obama supporters better learn how to defend their buddy better than this or Obama is going to be a one-time president.

Not everyone who voted for Obama, or who wanted Obama to be president rather than McCain (and his fluffy assistant) believed then, or believes now that the sun shines out of his #######, or that he can or will solve every problem. Most people, I would suggest are quite realistic about their expectations, which are fairly low and tempered with realism, knowing as we do that Obama, like everyone else in Washington, is a politician and not everything they do is for the benefit of "Us".

You can paint everyone that doesn't think like you as 'librul dope smoking, uincorn believing crack pots' as you wish, but that doesn't make it true, nor does it make your synthesis of the world particularly useful when it comes to understanding how to solve problems. Still, good luck with your continued 'Us versus them' divisionism.
