Hi VJ,

My fiance and I took the K-1 route to get married. after receiving our visa she went to the CFO and they gave her some things that she needed to do after she arriving in the states. One of the things that they told her to do was to make certain that she filed the CR-1/IR-1. I don't remember reading anything about this in the K-1 process. Can anyone tell us if this has anything to do with us?

Very Confused,

Ben

Most people in RP don't know much about the immigration process. CR/IR doesn't relate to her/you other than when she adjusts status she will be a CR.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!

Dear Haole,

Thanks again,

Perhaps they meant to say (or should have said) "Be sure to file for AOS" not CR1/IR1.

Dear Karin und Otto,

It sounds like you've been through this, that really clears things up for us.

Thanks,

Ben

Only file for AOS after marriage.

Dear Old Dominion,

Thanks for the advice, that really helps out.
