Can I cancel an infopass appointment?

I'm planning on making an infopass appointment for my AOS. It's been 20 days since I received my NOAs but havent received anything from the USCIS again since then. This week if I don't get any notice again, I'm gonna have to go to my local office on Saturday to ask about my concern. How many days ahead should I already make the infopass appointment? And just in case I get some notice from the USCIS before this coming Saturday (hopefully), can I cancel the infopass?

What notice are you expecting to get?? you have only just filed for AOS you have recieved your NOA1's for the AOS, EAD and AP so you now have to wait for your Biometrics appointment and that will take a while longer, you are within the normal processing time for your application. If you have not heard anything in 3 months time then would be the time to make an infopass appointment.

Wait until February to see if you get your biometrics appointment notice. Then wait until June or July to see if you get a notice telling when you are to be interviewed for the AOS. There is nothing anyone can do to make the process any quicker.

i know about the timeframe. But then there are some people who have waited for the normal processing time and when the waiting goes beyond that length and they call the USCIS, they're told that their papers are lost or they got denied because they didn't do the biometrics for instance (although they haven't received such notice), etc. Those are the last things that I want to happen to my application. Then there are also those who, like me, have been worried about not getting any more notices and call the USCIS hotline just in case it can help, and then a few days later receive a mail.

I think I would rather try and find out what they say.

Whatever. They are already overwhelmed with callers with real problems, and so they have a reputation for not being entirely accurate.

So you want to make an appointment to check to see if they got your paperwork even though they sent you a receipt that they got it? Honestly you are wasting their time. Be patient and wait. You AREN'T going to get anything in the mail 20 days after getting your NOA's.
