i send I 751 on aug now my husband wants divorce

:wacko:ok i send 751 on aug , had bio on oct 3, now waiting...my husband wants divorce.anybody on my shoes i honestly dont know what to do tell uscis im getting divorce or do it after divorce is final. do you think i will lose everthing completly . i still love my husband and i know he still cares what happen to me he offer to wait until i get gc but not fair for him to wait until vj fells like working well if i do initial the divorce now what can i do after :wacko:

I am very sorry to hear that. It might still another 6 month until you get the new card. If he offers to help you through it, I would do so.

Timeline

A pending divorce is of no interest to USCIS -- only when it is final and a decree is issued. In most states it takes at least a year to complete a divorce proceeding, but in others it is quicker. It looks like you will have your GC before the divorce is final. If you are to be interviewed for your GC, it would be in February perhaps. So then the problem is whether the two of you could attend the interview amicably and attest to a bona fide marriage.
