Horrible day - hope it doesn't foretell tomorrow!

This morning we got on our flight to Vancouver to go for 2 reasons....

1. Register my daughters birth abroad

2. Attend our K3 Interview/Medicals tomorrow.

So we get on the plane (which by luck was actually at the gate on time). We taxied out and sat on the Tarmac for 10 minutes. They then announce they have a faulty light in the controls so we had to taxi back. After 30 minutes they fix that light - we taxi out and we actually take off....... only to be told 15 minutes into the flight that there are issues and we had to return to the airport. So we fly around Edmonton for a 20 minutes and land. They then tell us to get over to another gate because they have another plane for us. We wait at that gate for 30 minutes or so before boarding and finally our flight takes off - managed to stay in the air without issues and we landed in Vancouver 2 1/2 hours late. We were just on time to miss our daughters appointment at the consulate. So now we've rescheduled it for Thursday. At least we hope we have - we cancelled it online and rescheduled but if they consider it done that could be another thing!

I hope and pray this doesn't foretell how badly things will go tomorrow. My doctor screwed up royally on my letter stating my cronic condition (asthma). She actually didn't get any information correct and when I called them about it - they said she is on holidays and they cannot redo the letter until the 15th. So here I am worried and frightened that this will be a go for them to fail me on my medical. I haven't had an asthma attack in 5 years. I went through my records with the assistant at the Doctors office and we wrote down all the proper information - I hope they accept it!

I'm normally nervous but this is totally nuts! Could anything else go wrong?

Noooooo honest.. it doesn't mean anything.. on the night before my K-1 interview my flight was cancelled.. that's right.. cancelled.. hubby (then fiance) spent the night at the MOntreal airport alone, and I was stormstayed on the Island.. the next day the plane was late, and the streets in Montreal were a mess, but we made it, and everything went smooth.. You will be awesome tomorrow..

And no worries on the asthma.. I have asthma.. it was never brought up.. Keep those vibes positive gal!

Okay it's official - the Gods have spoken and are shouting out loud!

Our rental car was broke into.

What can we do now but wait and cry! My husband is just shaking his head and driving the rental back to the airport (getting soaked because it is raining!). Ugggggggggggggghhhhh!

Thanks for the well wishes - I am so glad to hear about the asthma thing because I couldn't beleive how much my doctor screwed up on my letter. They think two files were mixed up when she was dictating....

I'll post tomorrow and let you know how the day went!

They popped the trunk and must have decided they would look out of place pushing my daughters pink & brown stroller. lol - Thank god they didn't take it because I really would have cried. They didn't take a thing. Unfortunetly my husband is a refuser of insurance and the rental agency is insisting on fixing the car themselves so he will have to cover that expense out of pocket until his insurance in the US pays out.

What can I do now but laugh! Can't get much worse right - if they refuse my K3 tomorrow we'll just have to follow the IR-1.... lol Then if that falls through - it's his turn to move!

Let's look at it another way - you are getting all of the bad luck out of the way now so that by tomorrow you will only have good luck left and will be approved. I don't think you will have problems because of your asthma - they are looking for medical conditions that will put US citizens at a health risk - and asthma isn't contagious, just very difficult for the sufferer. You will all be fine - just think you are emptying out all of the evil's from Pandora's box so that there is room for all of the good stuff that is now coming your way.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

I like that - all the bad things are now out of the way! I slept about 2 hours last night. What a nightmare this week has been so far. As my daughters and my husband snore - I think wow wish I could do that...... just block out the bad stuff and sleep.

Uggggggggghhhhh I still have another 12 hours of this left until it's finally over! Maybe I will sleep then. Three days with little sleep is really taking it's toll on me.
