Gathering evidence for 1-751

Hi Folks,

I would want some ideas if it is ok to add to my 751 docs, the obituary sections of some newspapers out here which published the death of some family relations of my wife in which our names were included?

Hi Franklocks,

Sorry about the loss of your wife's family relations. As for submitting a photocopy of the obituary with both of your names on it...why not...After all, it has both names on it on the same newspaper article (and in print for everyone else in town to see too). Just photocopy it and highlight the fact that both names were on it, then you're good to go there to submit it as joint evidence...

As well, it shows that you are both connected in some way family-wise to someone else too. And I'm sure if they were alive, they would help you prove this, such as through an affidavit or by any other means. So instead of that person's affidavit and other paperwork for evidence, this obituary will have to do as their part in helping here.

Odd how in death, that brings us all together in some way or other to help each other....hmm....

Yes, do so. I included the obituary of my mother in our AOS package - she died shortly after we were submitted our K-1 package. The obituary lists my name and my fiance's (now husband) names as family survivors. It was published evidence of our relationship and I figured that had to count.

The more the merrier. That's the trick to this ballgame. Anything of relevance to prove to them that you're together and that your marriage is in "GOOD FAITH". Goodluck and and God Bless!
