Hello Gabesmom!

Oh my god your NOA1 date is Feb 29! what do USCIS tell you when you call??? OH MY GOD!

Have you tried written to the congressman, senator or asking for an INFOPASS????

This is far away the prossesing time!!

I wish you get your NOA2 really soon!

Unfortunately my son's fiance broke off the engagement, so we have to look into canceling the application...

I kind of think that she is hiding something from my son, he hasn't really talked about it much. She had gone back to visit her family in Romania over the holidays, and I'm guessing that she got homesick or something and didn't want to leave. She was also really stressed out about waiting, they haven't seen each other since July, and I think they were growing apart.

I'm disappointed for them, but I would much rather them break up now, then her come over here and break up later.

Nancy

My fiance and I have applied for our k1 Visa and recieved NOA1 as of June 26th 2008.We have sent all the paperwork, photos, evidience, and marriage agreements signed by both of us.How is it that it has been 6 months and not even the NOA2 has been recieved. We would like to know how many applications for the k1/k3 visas are also waiting for their NOA2 from the Vermont Center. The official website of the USCIS has stated since November they are reviewing up to March 8, 2008. Although there are many here who claim they have either recieved their NOA2 or got the whole process approved in December and they appiled after we did. Anyone else in this situation from this particular office? Also is certain countries such as mine in the Philippines delayed particiuliarly as other countries are much faster?

This is very frustrating and it seems no one can help us at the Vermont Center until they are officially reviewing the June 26 2008 applications. Please let us know how many more out there are waiting or if any resolutions to improve on this? Thank you for your time!

Reading all of this now has me incredibly concerned... I was reading through quite a few success timelines, where the beneficiary had made it into the US in 6-8 months time, but now that I go back and look, I see that most -- if not all -- were CSC.

Are all VSC filers doomed?

Our case is also very straight forward -- no kids, never married, not a high risk country and no criminal records involved. Yet it seems a fairly speedy process is still going to be far from possible.

Disappointing...

In looking through older threads, you'll see that CSC was behind VSC not that long ago. It seems cyclical and all a matter of timing. That said, I wouldn't make any big plans for 6-8 months from the time of filing. It could well happen in that timeframe, but there can be snags. Still, the one gratifying theme throughout is that most everyone makes it eventually, with only rare exceptions. I know it can get worrisome when looking through some posts, but overall, there are a lot more success stories than horror stories. Best of luck!

I never would have believed my journey to happiness would begin with something called an "I-129F"

03/19/09 - I-129F Sent

03/20/09 - NOA1 (rec'd harcopy 3/26/09)

03/24/09 - Check cleared

03/25/09 - Touched

8/12/09 - Touched (4 hours before NOA2 email)

8/12/09 - NOA2 email received

***Received email at noon (Weds)

***USCIS site did update with the status

***Was 113 on Berkeley list; 156 on VJ list

Thank you for the reply.

I was assuming 6-8 months, and while sooner is always better, so long as it doesn't approach close to the year mark, I'll be happy enough.

wow , today I have just found this website and I am very glad. I am the one who is waiting for NOA 2. we have received our NOA 1 in 05-FEB-2010 so we keep waiting for it to come. Our lawyer said that it would take only 4-6 months to get approve. However it doesn't seem to be ok for me. Waiting for something uncontrollable is hard. My fiance sent our K1 application to VSC and today I just read their lastest update on March 12-2010 that K1 visa takes 5 months at VSC that means my case will take longer than 6 months for sure that disappointed me very much. I don't know how to say. and please forgive me if my English is not good because I am Thai and waiting for K1 Visa. Anyone here who have the same problem with me are welcome to discuss.

Have a nice day everyone , time for me to go to bed hehe almost 1 am in Thailand

Hi Kai,

It took approximately 85 days from the receipt of my NOA 1 to NOA 2. We had a status date of December 30, 2009 and we got a text and Email on March 25, 2010 and today, March 30, 2010 I received the official NOA 2 in the mail. It seems their is inconsistencies in the processing, some take shorter then 3 months, others take longer then 3 months. I don't know why that is, but the good news is that after te USCIS things appear to go much quicker so I think it is possible to finish in around 5 months if you get through USCIS in 3 months. Did you or your fiance establish an account at the USCIS web site? It will be frustrating but you want to view your status as much as you can stand it. Mine never changed from January 3rd till March 25th, then approval. OBTW, your English is fine.

Cary and Jim
