"The collective Left" = Steven + HAL + Dan&Gemvito + Paul Daniels + mox

Awesome! Our Hollywood name would be SHaDapMo.

WORD. I feel unloved - where's my name?

Are you pro-Hamas?

no - but I thougyt I was part of VJ's collective Left

You have to 1) hate American consumerism, corporations and capitalism, 2) hate colonialism,

3) pander to Muslims/Arabs/minorities, 4) hate religion.

I wonder why it is that conservatives blindly support and applaud Israel? I'm a Libertarian and am hopelesly stuck in the middle here. I don't believe in foreign aid as a tool of hegemony. I have no feelings of ill will towards Israel, I just believe that money spent outside the United States while we still have so many people living in poverty is ill spent.

Our government supports Israel because it's in our national interests. Are we hypocrites? Absolutely. Do we favor one nation over another? Absolutely. Is it right? Well that depends on what someone's definition of "right" is. We are simply doing what all great nations have done throughout history... protect our interests.

Jews are not at war with America.

Far from it. They are an ally and have been one for decades, sporadic differences and misunderstandings notwithstanding.

Well Israel did fire on one of our own Naval vessels in international waters.

...only if it positions itself as neutral to both sides equally condemning both actions of Hamas and the Israeli military.

Why? Both actions are not equally worthy of condemnation. Hamas started it this time. A good ol fashioned b1tchslap is just what the doctor ordered.

Exactly - why should the US be neutral to terrorist scum?

Like it or not, any path to peace, is going to have to deal with Hamas as an equal player. They do represent a large number of the Palestinian people. Bombing them will likely only make them stronger.

I highly doubt peace is really in our interest for the region. Selling them guns is too profitable.

Who says there needs to be a path to peace? Perpetual war is also a solution.

It is only in our interest because they allow us to use their airspace, and even that is marginal.

America embraced that ####### Stalin and then threw him under the bus. Ditto with that ####### Saddam. Nation first, baby!

"Credibility in immigration policy can be summed up in one sentence: Those who should get in, get in; those who should be kept out, are kept out; and those who should not be here will be required to leave."

"...for the system to be credible, people actually have to be deported at the end of the process."

Yeah... that came up in one of the 3,000 other Israel is hated by VJ's leftists while Red Blooded Americans support Israel's disproportionate response in Gaza threads.
