Hello

My Name is Kolyn, My fiance is from Venezuela. I want him to apply for Fiance visa, but I'm concerned that I won't meet the requirements necessary.

First of all I have been working for only a year and a few months and I make $17.000 per year, I had never paid taxes before... I'm not sure how much these things will affect me since my income per year is not that great and the fact that I've been paying taxes for like only a year.

Also would it affect the visa if My fiance hasn't graduated from school? he is studying Administration in a college in Venezuela, but he is thinking about dropping out school and come here live with me, Do you think that would affect anything?

I am really worried because we really need to be together because I met him like 5 years ago and we now want to take this huge step but I'm afraid they will deny his visa. do you think we will make it through?

He cannot apply until you petition.

His status in country (student, etc..) will not be a basis for the decision... as it is expected he/she will immigrate

You have about a year to resolve the shortfall of income (give or take a few months) as it is at the consulate interview where financial ability is reviewed. If you are short you can also consider a co-sponsor (parent?) to assist.

YMMV

as for your salary question. you need 125% of the poverty guidelines for 2 right now it is listed at 17,500. so unless you get a raise by the interview time you will need a co sponser
