Some persons get everything the same day. I did not get an email showing "card production ordered." My status didn't even change until 3 days after I received my welcome letter and I-130 approval letter. Even though I was approved my I-485 stated that my case was on holding until evidence was sent. The status changed on May 8th stating that an approval notice has been sent for my I-485. Three days after that I received my card in the mail. Cris does not update regularly. To this date my I-130 states what is pasted below

Application Type: I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN

Current Status: Case received and pending.

On January 28, 2009, we received this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN, and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. We process cases in the order we receive them. You can use our processing dates to estimate when yours will be done. This case is at our NATIONAL BENEFITS CENTER location. Follow the link below to check processing dates. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

You can choose to receive automatic case status updates, which will be sent via email. Please click here to create an account online.

This is today's date as you can see 05-15-2009 08:38 PM EDT and my status remains pending since Jan 28th when they received my application even though I have already received my GC and my I-130 has been approved

thank God our interview was over and i was approved! yesterday we me and hubby went to the SD uscis office and it took us like 10 min til IO called us, it was a great time of interview! IO was very nice and even jokes around. the time we sat down infront of him, he explained to us the process of removal of condition and application for naturalization. hahaha!. he talks alot and we all had a great time i think. him and my hubby talked about how the SD Padres suck this season. so yeah, he asked us how we met, asked for some proofs of marriage so we showed him the marriage cert, both of our birth cert., our joint docs ( we only gave him car insurance, leasing contract and joint ITR 2008) it all went well, he asked if we have a joint bank account we said not yet but i told him i already opened a bank account at bank of america under my married name, so he took the card and photo copied it. we brought our wedding album and it was huge! he was making fun of it saying he doesnt need to go the gym anymore for that.LOL so yeah, he typed info on his pc and even turned his flat screen monitor to us and showed us what he was typing..through that i was in knowledge now that my status is CF1, meaning a K1 entry now in the status of a conditional permanent residency. i was able to check if my name was properly spelled right on the very uscis system. it was all good! he stamped APPROVED in my file and explained the process of removal of condition, which is, 90 days before our 2yr expiration, starting from the 5-15-09 (our approval aos date), told me that GC will arrive in 2-3 wks. and also to apply for the naturalization a yr after i receive the removal of condition approval which is the 10 yr GC. he took my ead card, stamped and sealed my passport, he said that is what i can show to some employers if i dont have the green card yet. we even had a spare time talking about the PADRES really. LOL! after that we went straight to PETCO PARK to watch Padres vs. Reds. and infact this time, Padres won!! wow!

Thank u for all the people who have helped me and most of all to God for this awesome plans he has for me.

what restrictions from the social security card ??

If you applied for your social security number using your EAD there is a restriction on the card that says something about working only with DHS authorization.

If you applied after you were approved then you would have used your permanent residency card and there is no restriction.

Domincan1020 it was the same for me. I came the US in 2005 and got married in 2007 but didn't file until Jan 2009. Seriously, my husband's sickness took priority over my petition. I was more concerned about his life than my status here or being banned if anything happened and I had to return home. Up to December of last year we didn't know if he would make it and in January we began the process not even knowing if he would live but had faith that God would come through and he did.

This breaks my heart :( .. you would have to question why bad things happen to good people, I guess God has reason for it though we may never understand it. I applaud your strong faith Karen, it is truly inspiring. I will keep you and your husband in my prayers. (F)(F)(F)

Miki, God really kept me through it all. He had to be teaching me how to be strong and I held on to that and chose not to believe that the doctors had the final say but God. When I was diagnosed with cancer in 2005 I almost died but the Lord told me that I should believe His report and not go by what I hear see or feel. He took me through the entire process and when others saw death I saw life. When I couldn't even walk I was sharing the healing power of God from my hospital bed to others around me, even the visitors. God used me through all of this and I give him the glory.

It was much harder to be strong for Stan but I had to remember what God has done for me and speak His healing power over my husband. He moved from being a strong healthy individual to someone so sick and weak that it was hard seeing him seemingly disappearing before my eyes. I had to call on God for strength and for him to increase my faith. It was one bad report after the other and many visits to the emergency room as well as him being admitted in the hospital because of multiple clots going to his lungs that could have killed him but we held on through God.

As you say Miki, we never know why certain things happen but God is using it for his glory and I am humbled that he chose us to go through this. We have all been given his grace and I am thankful.

Love you girl. School starts next week and I have already received my books so I might not be online as often as I was before as I will be doing my best to begin the discipline of study ;) . I might check in to see whats happening when I take a break or twice a week, lets see. All the best in school as well. I will be doing my written driving test at the end of the month as I applied to have the restriction removed from my Social Security card and they took the old one and shred it, leaving me with none. I should be getting it today.

Be blessed.

Be blessed.

What a beautiful story of faith. I was teary eyed reading your story. Thank you very much for sharing, you are indeed a blessing not only to your husband but to others around you. Good luck on your studies and may your husband receive God's healing touch. This song is for you, I hope you enjoy it. God be your strength and refuge always.

How come this thread is going down in order on the page - does this mean every single one of Jan. filer has completed his or her processing :) That would be a good thing ... right?

Not everybody has completed the AOS journey, there are still few of us going for interview in the next few weeks and there are also some waiting for interview schedule or green card (in the case of those who were transferred).. it would have been best if everyone of us has successfully finished this AOS but unfortunately not yet :( ... Everybody's probably just busy.
