Hi,

My name is Nitin. I am a graduate student at University of Illinois at

Chicago (UIC). I am conducting a few minutes short survey on "Patterns

in Userids" for my research project. We want to study patterns in

usernames or userids created by people when they register on different

websites, etc. I would be really thankful if you could participate in

this short survey. The link is:

http://www.cs.uic.edu/~survey/piu

The survey has been approved by Institutional Review Board of UIC.

I can assure you that this is not a hack or a spam. If you have any

doubts, you can also find the above survey link at the Department of

Computer Science's research page

Thanks,

Nitin Jindal

oh, now you tell me. Well, have to admit I'm suspicious too, but I did it...and just left some info out, as all is optional..there's a lot of people named Michelle so... anyway, we all know privacy isn't my biggest thing on here...

Anyway...I did it, but I couldn't submit it... gave me an error. M.

Wouldn't surprise me if the 'real' survey was trying to see who all would actually DO the survey... hehehehehe

Too bad there's no Nitin Jandal listed in the list of grad students in computer science at UIC ... http://www1.cs.uic.edu/CSweb/public/studen...&label=Students

And while the second link is indeed a list of the research the CS department there is conducting (I Googled it independently, I didn't click through), there's nothing about usernames on it: http://www1.cs.uic.edu/CSweb/public/resear...&label=Research
