I was approved in November (5th) Were currently still waiting for the police certificate to arrive (ack it took over 3 weeks!), everything else including the medical was completed, so we are ready to submit and get our interview date as soon as it comes. The police cert was mailed out yesterday so hopefully we'll be able to submit it all by monday. I'm really hoping to get a date around christmas as I'm planning on visiting him for christmas, then staying on for the interview and traveling back together.

will they notify us that they have it at the embassy or just send the packet 3 to Keith?

I'm not sure how London works, but at Sydney they just mailed the packet with no prior notification.

I called the number and it is at the embassy and the lady said the packet 3 was mailed out but she couldnt give me a date. keith hadnt recieved it as of yesterday so keeping my fingers crossed for todays mail. With the packet 3 , do you have to have the police certificate and medical done to send in with it or does this stuff go to the interview with him.

I am also worried as Keiths memory isnt so good and he forgets alot of important stuff. I hope this wont mess up the interview for us. He is so nerveous about all of this part now cause its him doing it LOL. I have been the one to do everything up until now. I told him when he gets the packet 3 we will go over it together and I can help him to answer the questions. I wonder what kind of questions they will ask him at the interview????

I made a nice scrapbook of our journey before I left the UK so he has that to take with him. OHHHH I will be glad when this is finished

That depends on the consulate you are going through. I'd check the regional forums for the UK as they will know.

Haha i know what you mean about worrying about your fiance doing the remaining forms. I had a lot of trouble with that as well. I just like being the one in charge of important things. There are ways you can help him, you can send email to do lists that make it easier to understand the steps, give info from this site and even fill out the forms for him to print and sign if you have a fiance that hates filling out forms lol. I just made sure to tell my fiance dates that various steps needed to be completed by in order to get the interview date we hoped for.

We got approved on Nov 13th.

NVC mailed the file to Kiev on Nov 19th (less than a week!)

Embassy received on the 21st (according to DHL tracking thing). I called them on Dec 1st, they were ready to schedule the interview and offered... Dec 8th(!) That was way to close. We were thinking early Jan. But they didn't have a schedule for Jan yet.

Called again today and made an appointment for Jan 12th. Almost my B-Day (the 14th :) )

Oh yeah, passed the medical on Dec 4th.
