Share your thanksgiving Recipes

Share your recipes. I have never prepared a turkey, nor know what to do. After my wife came to the US, legally of course, I want her to experience Thanksgiving Day! I already bought a Turkey. Good Deal btw. .49/lb at 17 pounds.

Anyway, please....Anyone's advice is appreciated.

Niels,

Thanksgiving for me, isn't Thanksgiving if you don't invite others over....family, friends, neighbors, work mates - there always somebody that doesn't have a place to go that day. Sharing a meal and giving thanks for all that we have....that's what it's all about, IMO.

I agree. I been giving my wife some history lessons, and why there are people standing outside in the cold ringing a bell. She said, "Is that a way of begging for food?" She doesn't understand how charity works in the US. She came from a country with thousands of beggers, if not millions.

When I told her that I'm donating a few birds, she didn't quite understand why.

I don't want to scare her by inviting strangers. But, I'm hoping that all my family members will be there too.
