Hey. My wife has her biometrics appointment for december 5th and i was wondering how i can change it. I leave to go back to work december 3rd for 2 weeks and i was hoping we could just do a walk in before i leave to go to work. ( offshore ) My local office is in new orleans. I see some people talking about an infopass appointment but i'm not sure what that is. Any help would be deeply appreciated. Thanks

You don't have to be there with her, if she has someone that can take her there it'll be fine...they'll just be taking her fingerprints and picture...I've also heard some people do a walk in, depends on your local office not all offices will accept walk in (you can try)...but again if you have someone that can take her to the appointment it'll be fine, no need for you to be present (or reschedule)

July 28.......Received Biometrics appointment
Aug 12.....received RFE notice

Nov 3.........Interview Notice received in mail
Dec 4.........Interview APPROVED, CRIS email: card production ordered

The only number on there is this one. 1800 375 5283. I have been looking for the new orleans local number and i can't find it. I wish i could find someone else to take her but we don't really know that many people where we live. We are one hour from New Orleans.

oh ok, well hmmmm that changes things...and i know you don't want to take a 1hr drive for a walk in and be rejected...well if i find something will let you know

and you won't find a local number... they do not handle the scheduling locally, AFAIK it is done by MSC. Try a Saturday... many ASC's are not so busy on that day...

ASC's are usually open Tues -Sat but apparently the one in Metarie is not

i know 2 friends who did re-schedulling and was granted... they wrote a letter requesting for re-schedulling and mailed to local office and after more than a week they got a letter for new sched.. hope it can help you.. i wish they send my biometrics letter soon :whistle:

09/30/08 - mailed AOS, AP and EAD thru USPS

10/02/08 - received and signed by V. Bustamante

10/06/08 - check cashed out

10/07/08 - date of NOA

10/08/08 - last touch for AP and EAD

10/28/08 - AOS transferred to CSC

11/04/08 - touched on AOS

11/05/08 - touched again on AOS

11/06/08 - touched again on AOS ( no touch on AP and EAD)

12/08/08 - EAD approved according to USCIS officer (from infopass)

12/09/08 - touched on AP and EAD

12/10/08 - AP approved dated 12/09

12/15/08 - AP on mail

01/12/09 - went to infopass - found out my EAD has been approved since DEC 8,2008

01/21/09 - biometrics appoinment

01/21/09- Card production ordered for I-765 and a touched for I-485

My ASC letter said that if I needed to reschedule, to make a copy of the appointment letter and mail it back - aren't the directions on the actual letter at the bottom?

N-400 Journey

June 9th 2012 - Application sent

June 14th 2012 - NOA sent

June 28th - Biometrics letter sent -- July 26th Appointment date

July 12th 2012 - Early Biometrics/Walk-in

August ( ) - Interview letter received -- September 14th Interview date

September 14th 2012 - Interview! Oath date in hand, September 20th @ noon!
