SVRT, I have a question for you bro (oops you're in LA) dude.... Can you enlighten me on why these sort of things seem to be more common here than in the lets say the UK.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

So you basically cannot answer.

Have you lived in the UK long enough? How come this happens more in the U.S. than Norway? How about France? Or Japan? Please, I don't profess to know much about other countries society because in the end I'd just look like you and that's just someone who pretend they know it all. In every discussion about this society I have with you, hell, even about government, it's glaringly obvious you know ####### about this country. You're full of preconceived notions and really don't have much of a clue beyond your keyboard and internet e-wang competitions (my salary is bigger than yours, my education is bigger than yours, blablabla).

I don't need to live there. It is called statistics which anyone who apparently studied business would comprehend.

No offense but I have traveled and lived in more countries than half of San Jose and yourself.

Don't forget you make a bigger salary and have more of an education. May as well tell the full version of your truth if you're going to put it that way.

It's clear as day you know little to nothing about this country. You'd likely be better off in one of those since your only arguments regarding this country stems from others.

I like how you have danced around my question rather than answer it.
