How about banning the automobile? Over 40,000 killed on the roads last year with over a million injured.

With kids around, remove either the bolt of the triggering mechanism and have that locked up along with the ammunition, not more dangerous than a broom handle, certainly much safer than a garden rake, those teeth are sharp.

I do not loan my guns out to anyone along with my toothbrush. Never heard about that guy in Milwaukee that loaned out a semi-automatic, was taken to a shooting range and accidentally fired a second bullet. Now this guy is charged with owning an assault rifle, couldn't believe my ears. I prefer a bolt action with a high powered scope, far more accurate and saves money on ammunition when it takes only one bullet to do the job. Black powder is fun, but man, the kick those things have.

Pulling out a gun in case of a robber is the very last resort, can be sued for that, and my dog would be put down if he bites the #######, so even owning a gun for protection is not a good idea. Our military gave me a gun and taught me how to shoot it, but they took it back, but could find better ones on the civilian market.

Lucky, to compare Obama to Hitler is not only extremely bad taste, it's also ridiculous. Obama's ideologically centrist. Hitler was ideologically to the far, extreme right. I find this kind of hate accusation by mealy mouthed cowards absolutely pathetic.

Any gun question - any proposals to limit the rights of gun owners that they keep banging on about ad nauseum. Personally, I'd like to see gun owners having to display a degree of responsibility to have the right to own guns, but I realize the freedom to 'bear' arms is way more important than the responsibility to do so in such a way as to not endanger the lives of others either deliberately or by accident.

I should give him the benefit of the doubt, and assume that he is referring to the 'white supremesists' who do want to get rid of Obama. To be honest, that is a more likely explanation.
