Just out of curiosity - if he had told you that you could better show your love for him by NOT getting a tattoo, would you still get one?

As husband and wife, we do talk and discuss anything that we want. If he didn't want me to get a tattoo, but I like to get one, there's really no harm on getting one, however, I will follow my husband.

Everyone has his/her own prerogative on art. And I choose this art, my husband likes my art.

Just for curiosity too.. if your wife asked you to get one, would you? :innocent:

Why?

Then I think you have second thought about your marriage.

We married our spouses because we would like to be with them for the rest of our lives.

So? why worry if you have your wife or husband's tattoo that simply shows that you have

several outlets how you'd like your wife/husband to be so much closer to you, that you want his/her name to be even under your skin...

Anyway, we all have our oho, so let's just stand to it.

Guess I couldn't couldn't get drunk enough to get a tattoo when in the military, my two buddies did and the next morning asked ####### did I do this for?

Step daughter got three when she turned 18, what a way to really F-U an otherwise nice looking body. I'll leave that to her mother, but she wasn't very happy about it. Do fad, blur, and look like hell if you live along enough to get wrinkles, but gather you can get them removed now with expensive and lengthly treatments. Unlike a picture on the wall, can't easily pitch it and hang another.

Suppose if you have a statement to make, can get a custom silk screen t-shirt, and when that gets old, can pitch that and get another. Least you can take it off.

I'm with Nessa, no names unless its your children. Otherwise you end up with Winona Forever having to be covered over with something so it says Wino Forever ;) Angie ended up having her's covered up with something too I think. Dunno what though.

Get something that symbolises you and your wife together. Animals, flowers, trees, birds, mythical creatures, flags whatever. What is the animal symbol for your wife's country?

If I can ever find a decent tat artist around here (not easy, believe me!) I want to get a beaver and a bald eagle tattoo, and/or a Tigger & Pooh (tiger & bear being our totem animals).

James and I have matching arm bands, plus before I moved down here I got two blue birds on a dogwood branch (we both love blue birds, and the state tree for NC is dogwood) tattoo'd on the back of my shoulder. Right next to the Made In Canada stamp :D

If I had the money and there was a decent shop here in town I'd be covered. Alas, there is neither.

divorced - April 2010 moved back to Ontario May 2010 and surrendered green card

PLEASE DO NOT PRIVATE MESSAGE ME OR EMAIL ME. I HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT CURRENT US IMMIGRATION PROCEDURES!!!!!

I served in the Navy for 22 years (retired 2003) and never got a tattoo. I always thought they were low class. They never look good as you age. That tattoo you love when you are 22 you will likely regret when you are 62. My wife and I agreed prior to marriage that neither one of us would ever get a tattoo.

I was talking to my boss yesterday and with the IT lady, and the IT lady (that is over 40) she said she wants a new tattoo. My boss said women after 40 shouldn't get tatoos, the IT lady asked why, she said because when you have a tattoo when you're young is because you're stup!d :bonk: :lol, bottom line, she called me and the IT lady stup!d
