so i'm filling out the ds-230 part i and question 10 says:

"permanent residence in the united states where you intend to live, if known."

it says if known so i take it that it is ok to leave this blank? i have no idea where we are going to live, my partner will be moving once we know i actually have the visa.

thanks in advance. :)

if it is "unkown" then say so... otherwise put in the best answer as is available today... which might be the current residence

YMMV

yeah, that's why i was asking. would it be better to put his current address and then change it later when he moves? or is that going to cause confusion?

we will have any mail forwarded from his current address and will know the people still living there, so if anything gets mixed up with addresses we should still receive it ok.

Only the alien is required to provide address updates (at least until the USC submits an I-864). For the alien it is accomplished by submitting an AR-11. For the USC it is with an I-865.

YMMV

my partner is going to be moving house sometime next week. my interview is scheduled for the week afterwards.

i know that i'm supposed to submit a form to change my address when i'm going through aos as i already asked about that. (thanks payxibka ;))

i was just wondering if anyone thinks it would be worth me reprinting the forms i returned in packet 3 (ds-156, ds-156k, ds-230) with the correct address as i now know where we will be residing and didn't when i returned the forms.

I would just inform the consulate of the updated address at the interview
