I've used Hotels.com, Orbitz.com, cheaptickets.com, and expedia.com

Sometimes I get cheap service depending on which one I use. Sometimes that cheap airfare will return to a high price, and its competitor will be low. That is why I use all four deal finders.

Yes, for my international flights I generally get cheaper rates through a local travel agency.

I haven't tried it for domestic travel yet. Maybe I'll do that next time.

i cannot use BEST TRAVEL STORE, since the original place will head MANILA to BOISE . do u think my hubby can do it for us? i also heard somthing about the expedia that they are not reliable? thats why i go here and seek for advice, thanks again for the replies.

Heed other people's advice with a caution. Don't just listen, and then don't follow. Do what you think is right. I have used all the online booking service listed in my previous posts. They all offer the same things basing this on my experience. Sometimes one is cheaper than the other.

I've always used Expedia. I've found it's usually the same price or slightly cheaper than other sites. If you have connecting flights, sometimes it's easier, and cheaper, to buy the flights separately, as Expedia likes to bundle them in packages that don't always work out the way you want them to.

I travel a lot for business, and I use Expedia almost exclusively to book flights, and frequently to book hotels. Never had a problem in the nearly 10 years I've used them.

Nothing wrong with expedia or orbitz. Whatever price these two have is usually what you'll pay elsewhere. I wouldn't waste a lot of time on other sites trying to find a flight that might be a little cheaper. If another flight is cheaper, it is usually because it is going to stop at 2 different airports on the way to your destination, plus, when you stop, there will likely be a lot of time between flights so be careful when booking. You don't want to be changing planes with a baby on your arm.

No less reliable than Orbitz or Expedia.

But I got a better deal (by about $200) from tvltoday.com (desi travel agency in Fairfax) for my MIL's trip from Chennai to Baltimore.

another one to try is asaptickets.com. i just bought tickets from them again for an international 2 city trip for under $1200 on a major airline. used them a couple of times and no trouble. but maybe you should try sidestep.com they do comparisons of a bunch of different online prices.
