Are you adjusting from a K-3 or some other NON-immigrant visa?

K-3 requires I-130 approval notice attached to the I-485 when adjusting status, if that were the case then I-130 would not be pending.

1. Based on an immigrant petition.

You may apply to adjust your status if:

A. An immigrant visa number is immediately available to you based on an approved immigrant petition;

my i485 was approved but my i 130 is still pending is that normal?

Your I-130 is automatically approved when your AOS is approved. No separate notice will be issued, and is not required by any agency. Having to file it is just one of those expensive little technicalities, owing to the fact that you must have been in the U.S. on a non-immigrant visa when you married.

I second Old Dominion. :)

AOS Approved on 10-17-08 (details in profile)

Removal of Conditions on 07-19-10

In this tedious process, we tend to forget that this is all worth it.

I love my hubby beyond anything in this world.
