My fiance and I are finalizing our application package, and want to include the Skype call log (free downloading; we use daily taking via the webcam) as something that proves the on-going relationship. I can see all our previous conversations when I click on the "History" section from the Skype window, but find no way to print out the record. Does anyone know how to??? Thanks.

I did a screen shot at my skype history and it works. But during my interview the consul never look at my printed chats, emails, handwritten letters and my skype call history. She just peek some of my pictures and that's it. But I do advise you to print them out, it's better to have many evidences than lacking. Good luck and God bless.

How did you take the shot? Did you use a didtal camera, or one of the functions the Skype has that I do not know of?

It would be better if you printscreen your chat. If you are using cam in skype, it can be capture too. I forgot in desktop, but if you are using laptop, press button "PrtSc", then open ms word, paste it. Thats it. It's more real time.

I would not stress to much about it

When you apply for the K1 the only thing you have to prove is having met in the last 2 years

We just sent in a few pics, copies of our passports and flight e-tickets

All the call logs e-mails etc we are saving for the interview for proving the on going relationship

Good Luck with your Journey

You can download a program which quickly produces a complete log of your Skype calls from here. You can then filter it to include only the calls to your fiance and format it, etc. in excel:

The screen shots are probably helpful too as they are big on pictures. But I think the log is pretty important, especially once you get to the interview stage.

to do a screen shot press ALT+PrtSC (near the scroll lock to the upper right of your keyboard) then press CTRL+C. Go to MS word and press right click in your mouse and select PASTE.

This has been asked before on the Skype forums (specifically for immigration proof purposes as well) and you can find that discussion along with a utlitity to download that will export it to a CSV file which can be opened in MS Excel

link ---->>>Skype forum - exporting logs<<<----

I haven't tried this myself, so read the discussion in the link above for help.

What I did was go to the Skype website, then Account --> Login --> Calls & SMS where it also keeps a log of all calls made in the past 6 months. Then printed those webpages.

Does it only do that if you pay for calls? We do free laptop to laptop calls and I have no call history when I log in.

Exactly what I was going to say. We've used them in our application as supporting evidence. You can export them to an Excel sheet, but that doesn't prove anything because there is no sign that it is from Skype at all. At least if you print the webpages you get a date and time stamp and a URL across the top.

Good luck!

We're using skype and what I do to save our chat/call logs is set you skype window on your screen press PrtSc (Print Screen Shot) key then open a program where you can edit pictures ( I just simply use paint program on my laptop), then paste it on there then I copy/paste it on msword..You'd have to do this over and over again until you have all screen shots of all your chat/call logs since it doesn't fit to one screen and wouldn't show all of it if you were like talking everyday for more than a year!!...lol

Make sure to edit/adjust the screen shot pictures (yes, when you use this process the screen shots will be a picture document: i.e. bitmap, jpeg) that the logs will be readable and visible enough. And voila! You even have skype logo as additional proof!

Yeppers!!
