i think what it means is that someone updated something or someone opened the file...most of the times you get touches before the approval means someone is looking at your case....

Yes keep your fingers crossed I was also a Feb Filer and both of my petitions were approved the same day 10/1/08 after barely any touches. Someone is definitely reviewing your case, I think the VSC is finally moving! Keep the Faith! :thumbs:

thats a sure shot approval within a week..you are already out of the processing time...hope you get an approval soon!

How do u know if someone touched your case, do they send you a letter? Or an e -mail?

How do u know if someone touched your case, do they send you a letter? Or an e -mail?

Touches are simply updates at the USCIS website. When you go there and check your case status, you can see if the dates were modified. That is what we call a touch. Sometimes it means nothing. They may be just moving the files from one table to another... But in this case, since he is a February filer, we believe he will be approved because it is about time for this to happen.

Our Immigration Timeline:

Form I-130 sent to Chicago - 03/18/08 (Case in VSC)

NOA 1 - 03/26/08

Updates - 04/01/08; 06/16/08; 06/17/08

NOA 2 - 01/23/09

NVC received papers - 01/30/09

NVC generated DS 3032 and AOS bill - 02/02/09

DS 3032 sent by e-mail and snail mail - 02/02/09

NVC replied my e-mail confirming my choice of agent - 02/06/09

AOS bill received - 02/07/09

AOS bill and IV bill paid online - 02/07/09

AOS and IV display the PAID message - 02/11/09

AOS and DS-230 packages sent - 02/11/09

NVC received packages - 02/13/09

You can go to www.uscis.gov and register your case there, once you register, you can see when they updated your case, this updated date means they touched your case
