Nikita scared me with the whole 6 months wait thing.lol. I was terrified of that but it worked out okay.

Girl...I was so happy when I reach home and saw the email cuz I was checking like every other day when I was in Guyana. I was scared of the 6 month thing too...I'm so glad you got it cuz I am right behind you.

I have been ready for NVC for a while now. I just want to wait till I file my taxes to send the I864 cuz I was in school for 2005 and my income was low for that year. Hopefully that doesnt hold me back too much...maybe a month

I think you don't have to wait until you file this year. I think what you can do is have a letter or something from IRS stating why you didn't need to file and you will be okay. AS long as you are currently about poverty levels, you should be fine.

Okay but make sure you get something from the IRS that says why you did not need to file in 2005, just in case of anything. Also, if you can get your case number on the phone, you can actually email the response to the DS3032 online. I can send you what i used for my husband's so you can have an idea.

I did file taxes in 2005, but the income was very low because I was a full time student. Actually it is low for both 2005 and 2006. I just wanted to wait for 2008 taxes because I thought it would look better to have more than one year of good income. I will send what I have and see what they say because I really don't want to wait for the W2s. Also I did actually email the DS3032 information about an hour ago...just crossing the fingers and waiting now... I'll wait for the IIN to come in the mail...should be a few days.

The officer where more concerned with questions and answer...didn't pay too much mind to evidence.
