Ah, save a couple of bucks and send in a personal check. If you don't have a personal checking account, many banks in town are offering free checking, no minimum balance, one is even giving away a free lollipop for opening an account. Get one with on-line banking, so you can find out when the USCIS cashes it, that way you know if and when they received your package.

Been while for me, believe I had to write my wife's A# on the check, they have her name as we of course, have a joint account, which is also good proof to have if you are filing as a three year married couple. Instructions tell you to whom to make the check out to, what to put on it, and where to send it. Starting to forget some of that stuff.

Read the form instructions. They detail everything you need to know concerning the money order Edited by akdiver

PEOPLE: READ THE APPLICATION FORM INSTRUCTIONS!!!! They have a lot of good information in them! Most of the questions I see on VJ are clearly addressed by the form instructions. Give them a read!! If you are unable to understand the form instructions, I highly recommend hiring someone who does to help you with the process. Our process, from K-1 to Citizenship and U.S. Passport is completed. Good luck with your process.

I have, when I made out a money order to purchased a car, and decided not to buy it, seller lied. As the owner of that money order, you can cash it. But will be out the fee for it. What kind of outfit did you purchase your money order from? Let that be a warning to the rest of us.

If you still haven't sent it, put your name next to your signature. That's what I did, and it was fine.
