Off topic...POE when flying

Dumb question...when I buy a ticket for my wife to come here...I want her to fly to seatle and the cheapest ticket I can get stops in Hawaii for 3 hours. If I was to book her on this flight is that going to be her point of entry?

I think, yes think being key here, her POE will be Hawaii as it is her first stop in the US

She will be transferring to a domestic flight, not continuing her international one, right?

She won't leave the terminal, she'll go through customs before she gets on her new plane. She'll be transferred from an international airline to a domestic one and passing customs on the way.

The only concern is whether there will be enough for her time to clear immigration? Depends on how busy that airport is?

My wife recently went through the POE at LAX and it was 90-120 minutes after landing that she emerged from customs. My wife had a very easy POE, just queuing with other immigrants was what took most of the time. If your spouse is really unlucky they could hold her at the POE for hours, but that seldom occurs.

You always have the option of flying out to Hawii to meet her.
