Good afternoon,

Has anyone ever experienced multiple touches to the AOS but only one so far to the EAD application? I am fully aware that the AOS may take some time, but we would really like for the EAD to go as quickly as possible. Also, is it normal for the EAD to be sent to the NBC when our AOS case was transferred to CSC?

Thank you in advance for your replies.

Transferred to NBC? That is where it has been all along... Chicago lockbox is NBC.

YMMV

This is what the EAD reciept notice online says:

Application Type: I765, APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION

Current Status: Case received and pending.

On September 8, 2008, we received this I765 APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION, and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. We process cases in the order we receive them. You can use our processing dates to estimate when yours will be done. This case is at our NATIONAL BENEFITS CENTER location. Follow the link below to check processing dates. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

I was just wondering if it is customary for the applications to be separated and sent to different locations and why they do not touch the EAD as much as the AOS?

I was just wondering if it is customary for the applications to be separated and sent to different locations?

All of the applications initially went to NBC.

Each application is a separate application and can & will be looked at by different folks (this has always been the situation but all before was previously done at NBC (I-765/I-131) and the local offices (I-485)

It is becoming increasingly customary for the NBC to transfer a number of I-485 applications to CSC instead of the local offices....

It is not customary for NBC to transfer EAD/AP

So yes, it is and always has been customary... the new transfer location (CSC) is the only difference now...

YMMV

Thanks for the clarification.....Oh wait...now I see where I am getting confused. I was reading that the MSC transitioned to NBC. Thus, I was thinking that our EAD was transferred from the Chicago lock box to Missouri. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks

Chicago lockbox is the mail station for the National Benefits Center located in Lee Summit, Missouri, (formerly known as the Missouri Service Center (name changed in 2003)) Thus the MSC designation

To be honest, I wouldn't really worry too much about touches and the USCIS website - like many others, I never had a touch on either EAD or AOS, despite that I have now had the EAD for a month and the AOS interview in 2 weeks time. The website seems pretty unreliable for some! My EAD still shows as pending even though it is obviously approved. If you had biometrics on 9/25 then your EAD isn't 'late' yet, as most seem to get it within 4-6 weeks of biometrics, so I wouldn't worry about it yet, I'm sure you'll get it soon and be fine :)

Removing conditions:

10/9/10 - Package sent to Vermont

10/13/10 - NOA1 date, received 10/18
