Hello everyone! On the 7th of October we called USCIS to ask them to expedite our case...my fiance is deployed in Iraq and reading VJ we found out we have good possibilities to get our case expedited because of it. So we called and they passed us the military line...They asked my fiance why he was applyed for expedite and after he explained the whole situation they told him they would expdite our case and to wait for a email in 7/10 business days and just keep our paperwork ready...now we got touched that day and then the day after and after that anything else happens...now i know they said to wait 7/10 business days but reading on VJ i see everybody gets that email like the day after they request the expedite process!! So I just wonder if you guys can share your expedite experience with us just so i can know what to expect from it...thank you and I wish a fast approval for all of us!

I've seen them come through immediately and some come through a week or two later. Like everything else in this process.. it's a ####### shoot. ;)

I'm sure it will come... this is one of the VERY few reasons it does. Wait a bit longer than call again.

good luck to you.

Hello! First of all I have to say your baby look sooo cute! The military line 1-877-247-4645 ... this phone number is for Members of the U.S. military and their families stationed around the world... AS I said we request expedite because my SO is deployed in Iraq...they didn't tell us what are the proofs we will need to send them but reading around VJ I know we will have to fax them a cover letter explaining the situation and his deployment orders...

So far it has been one month and some change since I submitted my expedite request b/c of my upcoming deployment. (11 Sep 08) Still no response via email or regular post. I have called numerous times only to be given the same spiel that my request has been submitted and to wait two more weeks blah blah :) I'm tempted to get a congressman or someone higher up in my command involved. The other cases I've seen have had a fairly quick turnaround.

I know you need to include these things in the fax to the expeditors. I would also shoot a copy certified post. It can't hurt ;)

-Cover Sheet with appropriate to's from's attn's re's and no. of pages in the fax from the info they give you.

-Cover Letter including case ID/expedite ID and explanation of the request for expedite.

-Copy of the notice they e-mail/post to you.

-Orders/letter from the command with official letterhead/signature

-Copy of Military ID

-Other supporting evidence of your request

As soon as I get that notice, I'll be ready to fire it off pronto.

Best of luck!

~Eric
