Congratulations to all of you with approvals! That's great news! I haven't hear anything yet, but seeing all your posts has got me excited!!

By the way...can someone remind me how to access the website to check for touches? Do I need the NOA-1 number? I can't remember how I did it the first time...when I registered? Did I create a log-in name ? :o

In other related news, it has come to our attention that we might be eligible to do DCF as I am a resident in France (and working here now, since I graduated in December)...it seems like that would be a better/faster option if possible because then my partner wouldn't have to sit around waiting for the change of status/green card, right? We are planning our wedding in California in August, but we could do the civil service here if it helps.... Anyways, we are looking into that option as well now - but still pulling for the fiancé visa in any case...!!!

Hello everyone!

I hope that everyone who has not received their NOA2 gets it VERY soon!! Seeing as though most of October has been approved already...you shouldn't be far behind! :)

On another note, Stuart, my fiance, received his packet 3 in the mail today :) We are in the midst of scrambling to get all this information together that we didnt think we would have needed to get together for another 2 months, since we were approved so quickly.

We are figuring out the details of all the paperwork and have a pretty good sense about the questions and so if anyone has questions on packet 3 stuff or getting stuff together, let us know! I would be glad to help as everyone has been so helpful to me!

Take care everyone and good luck for the approvals of everyone elses noa2's!!! keep your heads up and stay positive!

Wow congratulations! That's great news that things have moved so quickly for the two of you. Maybe you could send us a list of the things you've needed to get together?

As for me, I checked our status online and there is nothing new - it still say "On October 20, 2008 your petition was received..." and under status it says "received and pending" Not too worried yet, but it would be nice to have some news early like the rest of you Octobers!

Best wishes to all,

Megan

Definitely Congrats to those that received their NOA2!

skparker - Congrats about packet 3. Fantastic! We will hopefully receive hers tomorrow.

Those that are still waiting, hang in there. We know it is difficult, but remember you are now one day closer.

I feel so bad that I keep disappearing on everyone like this. :( My computer's hard-drive decided to die on me, so I had to have some friends come over and help me with my computer troubles, but now I'm back. :D

And what a great day it is for us, too - My fiance received Packet Three in the mail when he got home from work today! I'm not sure when the NVC Received the package, or when it left, so I did the best to guess in my timeline. I suppose I'll wait for the letter in the mail from them. :D

Jim, I hope you had a fantastic time with your fiance. <3

BradnKim, Spikeyflip, and Ed+Cindy, I'm positive you'll receive some sort of news soon. Keep hanging in there - it'll definitely happen for you. :D

Congratulations on the Packet Three, Skparker! I might just be taking you up on your offer for help - I'm not sure if my fiance will have any problems [i don't suspect he will, but you never know - this process can be so confusing], but I'll definitely keep you in mind, just in case. :D

I hope everyone's having a great week, and will have an even greater weekend. Crossing my fingers that some great news will come today. <3

The only doom that's looming is you loving me to death,

So I'll give you a sec to catch your breath.

well this is what i know for the UK...... (pretty much the same forms will apply to fill out for everyone else)

NVC will forward your case to the UK embassy/consulate. They will send you Packet 3. Includes a checklist with documents you will need at the interview and some forms to fill out. After returning the checklist/forms you will get Packet 4 with an interview appointment.

Have a look at the embassy info:

http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/inde...&cty=London

Packet 3 contents:

DS-230-I Part I

DS-156 x2 (Full out online to generate barcode http://www.usembassy.org.uk/cons_new/visa/...electronic.html - Add photo to each, do not sign)

DS-156K (Do not sign)

DS-157 (Male only)

IV-15 Checklist

Information on how to book your medical

Packet 4 contents:

Appointment Letter

Instructions for interview/medical

Medical Questionnaire

Payment slip for £65 for visa processing

Of course the pound amount is not for everyone :)

If anyone needs any help, let me or Stuart know!

-Kristine
