Once again - people on programs do pay taxes, its not like you people are paying these people to stay home, and do whatever it is they do. Those that do not pay taxes are not making a standard livable wage (read - LESS than poverty level in many cases).

Pat yourselves on the back a few more times though, and perhaps buy another stinkin purse.

That fake Coach bag I bought is nice. :P

I'm sure she was talking to me because mine is real

I prefer fake because I want more than one color.

No, it's rather more fun watching you getting your knickers in a wad because some of your precious taxes go to worthless, feckless people and it makes you mad.

it's true worthless people shouldn't be allowed to breed because they just breed more worthless fecks

I wouldn't go that far. They just need to get jobs to support their "worthless fecks."

Are the elderly worthless fecks?

Well, have fun with that one, I am sure worthless, feckless people are going to queue up to get sterilized :)

Seriously, there are more serious things to worry about than trying to get a tiny, tiny minority of people to take responsibilty for themselves. I couldn't give a #### about them and I will not lose any sleep over them either.

elitist ... why do you hate america?

I know what I pay in taxes ... I'd rather have it in my pocket too

Yes, but hardly any of your taxes actually go on welfare is my point, and of that small amount an even smaller, tiny proportion goes on the feckless so, if you think your taxes would reduce to zero if you could ensure everyone took responsibility for themselves, you would be sorely disappointed. Say like a cent saving on your $500, that would buy you a whole lot now wouldn't it?

Of course, you might like to justify deporting them for other reasons, say perhaps because they are 'unsightly'?

No.I do not think they should be deported. And no,I do not think thay should be sterilized, that's inhumane. But it would be nice if they got jobs.

why deport them ... take another country's approach ... encourage them to leave ... even if it's by boat ....

so what percentage of my tax dollars goes to welfare?

what if 100% of your tax dollars went to defense spending (Iraq) ... and 100% of my tax dollars went to welfare. the money needs to come from somewhere and who knows how the $$$$ are allocated

Well, you can of course take the anual budget from each (welfare, war) and divide. I think we can safely say that more tax dollars go on war than welfare. Then if we divide the welfare into those who have it fairly, against those who do not (even using some larger figure than I would use) we can pretty soon see where most of the money is going, now can't we?

Oh, I am all for encouraging everyone who can work to work, nothing wrong with that, and nothing wrong with having an expectation that people only remain on welfare until they can improve their situation. I just don't see the point of moralizing to people on this issue.

I was trolling around on the FoxNews site - in search of, "Fair and Balanced" news, and look what I stumbled upon!!

Rocker Ted Nugent: What I'd Do As President

0_61_nugent_ted_04.jpg

Rocker Ted Nugent pulls no punches on what he'd do as president to those on welfare in America: deport them.

The Michigan rocker and avid hunter espouses his views on the state of the nation in his new book, "Ted, White and Blue: The Nugent Manifesto" (Regnery, $27.95), in which he outlines his plans for America if he were to win the nation's highest office.

"Able-bodied Americans who refuse to work will be sent to Cuba, Mexico, England and France," Nugent says according to the New York Post's Page Six, which reports the Nuge would eliminate welfare in a "Cat Scratch Fever" administration.

"[i'd] instruct the U.S. military warriors to do their job — win the global war on terror right now and eliminate all threats from all sources by any means necessary," he writes in an excerpt printed by Page Six.

Such a statement lacks a basic understanding of economics. You eliminate all the people on welfare, by whatever means, the economy will shrink and others will take their place. Keep it up, and you will be left with yourself.

Word, brother Dan.

Australia isn't available any more - Ted will have to think of a new plan. How about he sends them into space?

How about we send him into space?

This idea, I like

Wonder why he picked those 4 countries? Maybe he thinks they are underpopulated? Or maybe these are just his least fav countries when he goes on tour? Maybe the crowds in these four countries are wont to boo him off stage? What a dickwad anyway

Because the four most commonly spoken languages are English, French, Cuban and Mexican?
