I am sorry guys if this question ...

THis coming Oct 11 my hubby and I are going back to Philippines for 2 weeks vacation. I already have my GC without interview since january this year. My question is for my I-94 that is still stapled in my amended passport( married name now) should I just leave it there?

Thank you very much.

Good to know. I keep removing it to make a copy of the passport for something or another and then stapling it back in.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

Same here..I am paranoid with this I guess. Another thing I talked to a friend yesterday and she told me that i should not stay in Philippines more than 18 days because there were some cases that a GC holder were not able to enter at the POE when they came back. I read the USCIS website it says that 6months to 11 months is really ok all the more 18 days..Hmm. I just wonder if she tried to scare me.

It's always good to get more then on opinion when someone tells you something crazy like that. I rarely trust one person at all.

Maybe she knew someone who had issues upon re-entry and their magic number was 18 days.

We have made 2 trips back to the Philippines since getting the GC. One trip was 30 days and one trip was 33 days. Also, are you aware that the spouse of a Philippine citizen is not restricted to the 21 day visa? Both times we went back we went through the Balikbayan line at immigration and requested the Balikbayan visa for me (good for 1 year). We haven't even sent in her passport for the name change amendment yet, but we took a certified copy of our marriage certificate.

If you are a Greencard holder then your AP is void, you should not take it with you or it may cause confusion when you get to POE all you need is your passport and your Greencard.

If they won't admit you with a greencard... They certainly would not with your AP.... You can frame or shred your AP and/or EAD card if you want as they both now are worthless

YMMV
