Minnesota may take a little longer to turn red, but there is a possibility it could happen this year. Rasmussen, which offers the most frequent polling, shows Obama's double-digit lead in that state just a few months ago is now down to 4 points.

Ron Carey, chairman of the Minnesota Republican Party, maintains the region is a swing state. "Shifting demographics have made it a swing state," he said.
