Got confirmation that my packet 3 was delivered Friday week ago, called DOS on Friday but not marked as received yet, however my friends packet arrived on Monday and when she called DOS hers has been marked as recieved.

I will give them another call on Wednesday works out cheaper to call the states than the embassy go figure so hopefully I will hear about my interview soon

Packet 3 has been officially received according to DOS. How long till packet 4?!? I'm ecstatic!

Yes i am wondering this too.. We are going with K-3. I sent the package 3 10 days ago. But I still haven't received the interview date or package 4. How long does it take to get the interview date after sending package 3? I know it depends on the embassies.. Ours is in Ankara, Turkey. I've called DOS, they said there is no record of the package 3 in the embassy's system, it is just a matter of time... but got confirmation from the ups that they delivered the package on the January 15th.. I emailed to the embassy last week, they just said our file has not been processed yet and they will inform us about the interview date once they process our file. I am so excited, just want to know the interview date to plan my moving accordingly..

I attempted to call the US embassy from Skype this afternoon, to chase up the interview date, but didn't have any luck - SkypeOut doesn't support premium rate numbers anymore. So, if you're thinking about making a big topup to fund a call to the embassy, don't! Hopefully Skype give me my £20 back...

I call Dos instead weird it works out cheaper to call America than the american embassy here, never on the phone more that a few mins

I have to say I much prefer the staff at DoS to my 2 attempts to call the London line.

Seems we eventually made it onto the embassy system yesterday so I sent our package 3 off today in the vain hope it may shorten the process somewhat

I called the embassy this morning. They said they didn't schedule the interview date. Then the embassy emailed me in the afternoon and gave me the interview date... I am soooo excited It is 26-FEB-2009 YAYYYY! It is a great timing for us. My husband will be in Turkey 2 days before the interview.. now i am wishing everything goes well with the interview then i can fly home with my hubby.

btw I have a question. We sent them only 2007 tax returns and 2007 W2.. We didn't send them 2008, 2005, 2006 tax returns and W2 forms.. Do they need them too? I just don't want to learn this at the interview..because in that case i won't be able to fly with my husband...

While I am glad that you got your interview date, do you realize that this is the thread for people at the London Embassy?

I think the embassy has had a flurry of hard work because my packet 3 which I only sent on Tuesday was on the system as received when I rang DoS today

we got notification that the NVC had received our case and that they would be forwarding it to london.. they gave a LND ref number.. what do i do with that.. do i just wait for them or chase .. HELP
