My now wife has a 2-year conditional green card. Does USCIS or any other US or Foreign agencies frown on her if she travels to her homeland (Vietnam) to visit Tet celebration once per year. Can traveling back home 2-3 times a year cause problem(s) (Which is not the case for us) When we go for the ten-year card. Her current greed card expires in November 2009. My wife said she heard some issues on SBTV network (blog questions) to an advice attorney whom appears and responds on a Vietnamese TV show.

Thanks!

Don

I used my conditional green card twice (basically once a year) and had no problems getting my 10 year card. What people have to think about when travelling is not how many trips one takes out of the US, but how long one stays out of the US. Spending more time out of the US away from one's spouse than staying may raise a red flag.
