With this 700 billion goin out yau errrrrrr yau errrrrrrr the door all Barry's programs are never gonna get through. When asked what he was gonna cut, he never gave an answer.

McCain on the other hand errrrrrr yau errrrrr yau talked cutting spending and getting rid of pork.

Obama is and as always been pie in the sky. Obama as built is candacy on errrr yau errrrrr yau promises that can in no way be kept. The saddest part about it is the people that blindly follow him no matter what.

I edited my post so Obama supporters could read it easier.

I guess civility goes out the door with you. Its unfortunate when adults try to use insults to get a point across instead of try to use facts. Its very obvious that when you remove $700 billion from the economy due to failed policies of a Republican president and continue to spend $10 billion on a war that we shouldn't have been in to begin with, I guess you blame it on the guy who is trying to make change. :bonk:

Its a shame that I see this from all many Republican supporters. Smug and very insulting people, who instead of bringing new points to the table, use insults and slander to try to bring someone down. :wow:

Do you mean "all" or "many". If you meant "many", I shall for arguments sake choose to believe the point is not directed at me and we shall say no more. If however you meant "all", I may take umbrage and will probably need to argue the point. thanks.

What does McCain keep saying "my record speaks for itself"? Can't he speak for himself?

My record this and my record that. I thought it was a bit narcissistic, but otherwise he did ok.

It's basically a way of keeping safe and not having to say anything because people have everything the candidates say under a microscope.

So McCain basically placates to political correctness by not actually addressing the issues.

Or maybe it's "my record speaks for itself, as I can't remember what my record is, so you figure it out for me".

On a bit more serious note, seeing that McSame has made a 180 on just about any position he ever held, his record and his platform are pretty much opposites. In light of that, one is left to wonder, is he running on his platform or on his record? Maybe he doesn't like to get into details because there's such a big rift between the record and the platform. The record he can run on to attract undecideds but his platform will chase them away. So, what's the man to do?

McCain was the one stuttering throughout the whole debate. All he wanted to do was to tell everyone where he has been and what he has done. No real American wants to hear that. We want to know what is going to be done. My vote is for CHANGE My vote is for OBAMA.

Umm, he has a rccord to refer to....unlike his opponent.....You know , voting "Present"..........

Most people don't want to hear repitious declarations of his accomplishments, which BTW dwarf "the one"....

Yes, he can state them however practical circumstances, due to time restraints in the media, prohibits him from declaring them by single instance....just not enough time for sound bites.....

Let's face it, if he did Obama would never have any time at all to make his his case...... McCain dwarfs Obama in experience...period!

You want to know what is going to be done by someone who has done nothing and has no record to refer to, Senator Obama. Other than talk, what makes you think he can do even a small percentage of what he talks about?

Sure he's got a record. His platform for his run for the White House, however, has nothing to do with his record. It's a polar opposite. Chew on that.

Perhaps being able to change with the times and for what is better for the country isn't all bad. Unlike Bush who has steered a straight course down a winding road. I like to think that a good politician can change his mind when something isn't working and a better way to do it becomes apparent, be it Obama or McCain. Obama has no record, only talk. Can he make the talk reality? That remains to be seen.
