SSN questions

I searched before deciding to post this and did not see the answer to my question, so I apologize in advance if the answer is somewhere I missed.

Rob is going to be filing for his SSN card soon (hopefully tomorrow).

1. He arrived on Sept 14th, if he files tomorrow (those of you who've done this part) is that enough time for his info to be in their system? It would be just 2 days shy of 2 weeks since he arrived.

2. Does he check the box that says "Legal Alien allowed to work" or "Legal Alien NOT allowed to work"

3. Everything (SSN app, AOS app, etc) needs the I-94...is that just the tiny "departure" bit that's stapled into his passport on the page adjacent to his visa? Because that's all he has.

Thank you so much in advance for help.

what does that mean...?

The thread has been moved to a more appropriate section of the forum, and the guy who did so is named Charles, so I've always assumed it means "moved by Charles"....whether or not that is correct or not, who knows!! Just my deduction :)

Filed: K-1 Visa Country: United Kingdom
Timeline

My fiance' waited two weeks and two days. He said he had no trouble. Your guy can go and if he's not in the system, he can just go back in a few days. Have him take his passport. He will need it. And mark the box legal and allowed to work. K-1 visas are allowed to work, but only with work authorization which is part of AOS.
