McCain's going to end up regretting his choice in VP. It seemed like a brilliant, strategic move on his part, but her boost to his poll numbers was short lived as the American people are getting to know who she is.

Why are polls such a big deal?

I've heard it's not the size of the poll numbers, but how you use them.

Not much really, except that it indicates momentum.

Eeks--I like this quote:

"Asked why she only obtained a passport last year, Palin said, 'I'm not one of those who maybe came from a background of, you know, kids who perhaps graduate college and their parents give them a passport and give them a backpack and say go off and travel the world. No, I've worked all my life. In fact, I usually had two jobs all my life until I had kids. I was not a part of, I guess, that culture.'"

You know, only those snooty rich kids get passports!

I guess Sarah's not familiar with the robust world of budget travel and hostels. You can have a job (maybe even two) and leave the country once in a while! Wow!

May 5, 2006: Interview at Phoenix district office. Approval pending FBI background check clearance. AOS finally approved almost two years later: February 14, 2008.

Received 10-year green card February 28, 2008

That will resonate though with the narrow minded parochial voters who make up the base of the GOP.

Man is made by his belief. As he believes, so he is.

Yes, I was thinking that. "I was too busy feeding the livestock to think about sippin' wine with damn Frenchies," and so on. Still, I imagine that some Republicans who actually do have passports might wince at this characterization of Americans who have in fact been outside the country.

America may end up regretting electing an unknown and unqualified Obama. He's never made an executive decision in his life and we're ready to hand over the White House to him. The fact that very few Democrats knew what he stood for during the primaries was more than scary. Almost any Democrat candidate running was more qualified than Obama so the Palin critics look particularily pathetic now.

I still think Obama will win but the Obama supporters better be ready after the honeymoon period is over. No political attack on Obama will be too outrageous after the bashing Bush took. It should some fun at least online.

When Couric asked how Alaska's closeness to Russia enhanced her foreign policy

experience, Palin said, "Well, it certainly does because our ...

our next-door neighbors are foreign countries." Alaska shares a border with Canada.

As much as I hate Palin and McCain (and Republicans in general), I hope they win because:

a] It will get Palin out of Alaska

b]. It will piss off an awful lot of people

c]. It will bring out the race baiters in full force

d]. It will demonstrate that the Democratic Party may as well just disband.

Go Palin/McCain!!

PEOPLE: READ THE APPLICATION FORM INSTRUCTIONS!!!! They have a lot of good information in them! Most of the questions I see on VJ are clearly addressed by the form instructions. Give them a read!! If you are unable to understand the form instructions, I highly recommend hiring someone who does to help you with the process. Our process, from K-1 to Citizenship and U.S. Passport is completed. Good luck with your process.

You would be happy with a one party state?

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

Well, no, but frankly, given the dominance of and lack of distinction between the two lame ### parties that we have, I really don't see much difference.

Until people get past this idea of "if you don't vote for a republican or a democrat then you wasted your vote", we may as well have a one party state.
