Here's the latest data dump from the -- and I'll paste it in because it hurts my fingers to type it all -- TNS Media Intelligence Campaign Media Analysis Group (TNSMI/CMAG) and the University of Wisconsin Advertising Project:

The campaigns are spending about

The campaigns are spending about $15m in ads per week; each is spending about $7.8 million. most of McCain's ads are paid for with both McCain campaign money and money from the RNC; 97% of Obama's ads are paid for by the candidate.

77% of the Obama campaigns' ads were deemed "negative," compared to 56% for McCain.

When the other side continues to run a campaign based on blatant lies, then they need to be held accountable for that. It's not negative, it's setting the record straight. McSame / Bush-Palin have nothing but lies to offer to the American public. Where's your outrage over that?

Firstly, I said in another thread that I wish they both would stop with the campaign of half truths and out of context ads......

Second, this study only speaks of negativity, not lies or misleading statements. One (no pun, "the one") can be negative without telling a lie.... Focusing primarily on the alleged shortcomings of your opponent instead of the issues.....personal attacks.....

Obama wins at these kinds of ads......

I don't think that counts, the pickle insertion has to be smooth and seamless. That insertion was about as subtle as a brick.

What really sucks is all this millions and millions being spent are useless and worthless tv political ads, $700B+ on bailing out mortgage ####### - and they can't spend a few lousy bucks to wipe out my student loans. #### 'em. #### all of 'em.

Anyone whose vote is affected by political advertising is a moron and should not even be allowed to vote anyway.
