Appoval letter vs INS website

The website - if it gets updated - is faster. The thing is, it isn't always updated. So, if you get the notification on the website that you are approved, it will be before you receive the letter. If, however, they don't update the website your first notification is the letter. Fun, eh?

We received an email before the letter came the green card arrived less than 2 weeks later. I did not check the website. I was actually surprised when the email came, we had just moved and I was ready to mail out the change of address form when I got the email. I could not update the file online because it was already approved. Lucky for us the post office did forward the green card to our new address.

The majority of people receive the email first, if that helps. The website and the email both contain the same information so if you haven't signed up for email notification, you would still see it on the website first the majority of the time.

Thank you for your answers. The issue is that when I enter my case number I get the error message. It's the same number on Biometrics notice as well.
