JUNE 2008 K1 FILERS CSC ONLY!!

Hey guys! I haven't posted on this june filing message..but here I am!

I don't know about why they are talking so long at CSC or anything..but I randomly decided to check my case status online today (I don't look too often cause it hasn't changed for 3 months)..and we were TOUCHED!!!

I'm not really sure what it means. Maybe they just put our file in a new box or something.. cause it was touched on the 19th of September, then not again. But, at least it's something, right?

So anyways, just thought I'd share the good news. Seems things are coming up pretty soon! Good luck everyone!

mnmarty03 thank you thank you thank you. cause of your reply I went and checked my progress on USCIS and I have been touched on 10/01/2008. I know it might mean absolutely nothing but it gives me a huge lift to know someone has physically touched our application.

Hopefully this is CSC starting to get their finger out and start approving more people's dreams!

Im trying not to get too excited with my touch but there are 2 people with NOA1 May 28th who have received their NOA2 on October 1st now. I'm the start of June so with the touch I have a huge smile on my face. Hope its not false hope!

I really hope that fiscal theory proves true. Yesterdays approvals were really exciting to see, 6 approvals on a Wednesday! I hope it keeps up and I'll be super thrilled when the first June date shows, I think it could be any day now.

I'm happy that my message brought someone else to check their account and find a touch!

I figured out what mine was from, and once I did it was a bit disappointing..

Right around that time (9/19) I changed my address online for the petition cause I moved. lol. So, the touch must have been them updating my address...

BUUUUUUTTTTT, I figure that it still means that they have our application still, haven't lost it, and who knows, maybe it'll make them speed it up just a little. Maybe someone will think, "Hmm...I had to change there address, so I might as well keep their file out and get to it with this batch I'm doing right now."

Okay okay..that's really really illogical and wishful thinking. I realize that they probably don't even physically touch the file necessarily to update the address..

But, anything to give me hope, right? I was calm and patient with the whole thing since our NOA1, now that it's so close (but yet so far) to the June approvals I'm getting a bit nervous. And at the very least, a touch does mean our application is still there! Come on CSC!!!!!!

When is everyone tentatively planning on traveling to the US? As soon as the visa is in your hands? A little later? What's everyone's idea?

For us, we will wait until at least Jan or Feb before he will come here.. our tentative wedding date is March 27th, but more importantly than a tentative date is the fact that he is finishing schooling in Germany and won't be done until January with it. Even though the idea of him getting is visa in hands early enough to be here for Christmas or New Years is a wonderful one, he stayed in Germany 2 years longer than we originally planned to do this schooling... so it'd be dumb for him to quit it with such little time left. But I figure that the sooner he gets the visa, the earlier he can book his flight (and his family can book theirs' for the wedding) and the cheaper it will be. Sooo... come on CSC!!!
