incompetent CIS, our papers might have been lost!

oh good lord... there are so many incompetent employees at CIS. This is extremely frustrating for the 5th time! Gosh we got approved 7-7-08 noa2 for K-I129F then until now.. no NVC letter.. its been more than 60 days til then. We bugged CIS many times and said something like "NVC takes time to log in cases in their systems" and that sometimes "CIS bypasses NVC and just send it directly to the consulate of the foreign fiance", "that instead of filing it to go to NVC they filed it as a record"

Gosh.. we don't know what to believe.... I just called NVC again for the 3rd time and said "not in their system yet and it could take 90 days and if it takes 90 days we will mail you a letter about what to do next" I guess our paperworks are lost.. nada.. in a big black hole.. geez.. I'm frustrated and dehydrated.

I really want to put a media on this one. I just hope it will do good. Could you give me more advice on what to do next? thank you so much!

I spoke to somebody but still no paperworks I'm having this gut feeling that CIS lost our papers.

its not lost.mine took awile to get there to.i said to myself how can it take this long to mail something.dont worry just keep calling them every day like i did.finaly you will be suprised and they will give you the case number.hang in there.just some advice.when they do give you the case number they will give you another number you will call from then on.call it and keep calling they will give you her interview date before she gets it.i called themon nov 20 and her interview date was dec 6 if i wouldent have called we would not have had time to plan for her medical and things.good luck

I spoke to somebody but still no paperworks I'm having this gut feeling that CIS lost our papers.

You should expect to wait for up to four weeks after approval, before your paperwork gets to NVC and is logged in. Not to worry.... The USCIS is understaffed for the workload it has.

If it is approve Sept 15, you will have to wait. I though you said 7/7/08 was NOA2. NOA2 is the approval from USCIS. If it 7/7/08 Then you will have to talk to them. If it is 9/15/08 then you need to wait.

did you actually talk to a real person when you called NVC? if you used the automated system you will not show up. K visas are NOT entered into the automated system and will say not in system forever. You have to speak to a real human to see if you are there. If you did that and a real person told you they dont show anything yet, then you are in a bind and will have to wait.

yes, we did got approved NOA2 on 7-7-08 and it says on the notice within 2-4 weeks NVC should have it. Then i checked our case status lately on CIS website it says "on Sep 15 we approved your case....." We submitted our case Jan 19, 2008. Called and talked to CIS and NVC... no competent response. -sigh-
