My mother has been petitioned by his brother in the year 1988.The case now is with NVC and waiting for the visa number. I am about to become a US Citizen and wish to petition her. Does she needs to withdraw her case or would it have an effect on the petition I will file for her? Please help!!!Thanks!

You can have multiple petitions running at the same time without a problem.
